From dreaming of being a film composer to dreaming of the Olympics – thank you Alice Davies for sharing your journey into sales development!
Within the 4 years on the GB World Class Programme under her belt, Alice got her GB U23 call up in 2018 ….. having only started rowing whilst at the University of Bristol! 😵
Some of the topics we covered;
1️⃣ Being a film producer was her first dream!
2️⃣ But rowing stole her heart, and professional sport became the new passion!
3️⃣ How a prolonged injury forced her hand into finding work.
4️⃣ Having to live with the frustration of not finding the answer to the causes of the injury.
5️⃣ The breathing space also opened up her eyes to the things she liked & missed.
5️⃣ How the mirror of sales & rowing, allows her to bring the best of rowing to the best of sales.
6️⃣ It’s taken around 2 yrs to move away from the athlete ‘identity’.
7️⃣ How her work with the The British Elite Athletes Association inputs into the support available to athletes.
